If you'd like to delete your Everand account and all associated data, here's how.

Looking for Scribd or Slideshare? See How to delete your Scribd account.

Before you delete

  • Cancel your subscription first, and let it run out. The "Delete account" option won't show up on your account page until your subscription is canceled and its remaining access has fully expired. Still need to cancel? See How to cancel your Everand subscription.
  • If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel there. Deleting your account doesn't automatically stop billing on those platforms. Cancel first, then you can delete.
  • On a Legacy Everand plan? Confirm you want to delete all accounts, including Scribd and Slideshare, before moving forward.

Remember: your account data will be deleted. This includes your reading history, saved books, unlocks, and account settings.

How to delete your account

To delete your Everand account, you'll need to be signed in, and your subscription has to be both canceled and expired.

  1. Sign in to your account on the Everand website.
  2. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner and select "Your account."
  3. Scroll to the More options section and select "Delete account."
  4. Open the verification email we send you and click the link inside.
  5. On the screen that follows, check both boxes and select "Delete account."

If you'd prefer to request account deletion, start a conversation with our virtual assistant. You'll be asked to verify your identity before the process begins.

Frequently asked questions

Q: There's no "Delete account" option in my settings.

A: It’s likely that your subscription hasn’t expired. Once it expires, the option to “Delete account” will appear under "More options" on your account page.

Q: Can I reactivate my account after deleting it?

A: You can reactivate your account by starting a conversation with our virtual assistant and providing the email address that was on the account. The only permanent account deletion is if you submitted a request to erase your data under privacy law.

Q: I just want to cancel my subscription, not delete my account. What should I do?

A: Canceling and deleting are different. Canceling stops your subscription but keeps your account and everything in it intact. See How to cancel your Everand subscription instead.

Q: How long does account deletion take?

A: The deletion process is typically immediate through your account page, and takes up to a few days if you submit a deletion request to our customer support team.
