We’re excited to share that Fable, a vibrant platform for readers and communities, is now part of the Everand family.

If you’re curious about Fable or wondering what this means for you, we’ve answered some common questions below.

Why is Fable joining the Everand team?

We think Everand’s deep library and Fable’s vibrant community make a great match. Together, we can offer better reading and social experiences for all kinds of readers, whether you like to enjoy your books solo or talk about them with like-minded story lovers.

What is Fable?

Fable is a social reading app centered around community discussions about stories. It allows users to join or create book clubs, discuss stories, and track their reading progress.

What are the benefits of Fable and Everand joining the same team for readers?

Fable brings the best community and tracking tools for readers. Everand offers the best value in digital reading. Together, we can create more value and joy for readers, while keeping the experience you love.

Will this change my subscription price or what content I have access to?

No, your Everand plan and catalog access remain the same.

Will I need to download a different app?

To access Fable you’ll need to download the Fable app. It’s free!

Can I connect my Everand and Fable accounts?

You can now use one account across both apps! Visit your account settings on Everand to link an existing Fable account, or add Fable access to your Everand account as a new Fable user. For more details, check out our article on linking your Everand and Fable accounts.

Please note: this feature is currently only available to users on Everand Standard, Plus, or Deluxe plans. Learn more about switching your subscription plan on Everand.

Does this mean I'll get access to all of Fable Plus' features as part of my current Everand subscription?

Everand and Fable are operating as separate platforms. Fable has a robust free tier available for anyone to join and explore. We know our customers might have some great ideas for how we can continue to collaborate, and we’d love to hear your feedback on how we can grow together.

Will this affect my existing reading lists, bookmarks, or reading history?

No, nothing will change.

What does it mean that Everand and Fable are now “part of the same family”?

Fable is now under Scribd, Inc., the same parent company as Everand. With the addition of Fable, Scribd, Inc. now offers four products that spark curiosity and connection: Everand, Scribd, Slideshare, and Fable.
