You can change your Standard, Plus, or Deluxe plan anytime. Here's how:
- Sign in to your account on the Everand website.
- Tap your profile icon in the upper right corner.
- Select "Your account."
- In the Subscription section, select "View all plans."
- Choose the plan you'd like to switch to and confirm.
Upgrades (e.g., Standard to Plus, or Plus to Deluxe) take effect immediately. Your payment will prorate for the remainder of your billing cycle — you'll pay the difference between what you've already paid and the new plan price.
Downgrades (e.g., Deluxe to Plus, or Plus to Standard) take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You'll keep your current plan's benefits until then.
Our Legacy plan has been discontinued. Once you move from Legacy, you can’t go back.
What happens to my unlocks when I switch?
If you upgrade, you'll receive your new unlock allocation right away. If you downgrade, your current unlocks remain available until they expire, six months from the date they were added to your account.
Switching from a Legacy plan
If you're on a Legacy Everand plan, you can switch to Standard, Plus, or Deluxe — but there's an important catch: the switch is permanent. You can't go back to your Legacy plan once you've moved to a current plan.
Here's what happens when you switch from a Legacy plan:
- You'll get your full unlock allocation immediately (1, 3, or 5 depending on the plan).
- Your payment will prorate for the rest of your billing cycle.
- Books you've already read will be unlocked when you transition. Books you haven't started will require an unlock.
- You'll lose bundled access to Scribd and Slideshare (Legacy plans included all three products).
If you're not sure, take your time. Your Legacy plan isn't going anywhere unless you choose to switch. For the full picture, see "I'm on a Legacy Everand plan."
Frequently asked questions
Q: I want to switch plans. Is that permanent?
A: Switching between current plans (Standard, Plus, Deluxe) can be done anytime — you're not locked in. But if you're on a Legacy plan and switch to a current plan, that change is permanent. You can't switch back.
Q: When does a plan change take effect?
A: Upgrades take effect right away, and your payment prorates. Downgrades kick in at your next billing date.
Q: I don't see the option to switch plans. What's going on?
A: If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you may need to manage your plan through those platforms. The "View all plans" option appears for web subscribers in your account settings on the Everand website.
