The Everand app lets you download audiobooks and ebooks so you can read or listen without an internet connection.
How to download a book
- Open the book's About page in the app.
- Tap "Download."
- Wait for the download to complete — you'll see a progress indicator.
That's it. The book is now stored on your device and available offline.
Finding your downloads
Go to your Saved tab and turn on the "Downloaded" toggle. This filters your list to show only books stored on your device.
Device and access limits
You can download content on up to 4 devices. You can open any given book on up to 6 devices (this may vary for specific books based on licensing). On the web, you can read on up to 3 browsers within 24 hours.
Good to know
- Downloads are only available through the Everand app — not the web.
- Downloaded content requires an active subscription. If your subscription lapses, offline books won't be accessible until you resubscribe.
- Deleting or reinstalling the app removes all downloaded content. Make sure books are in your saved list so you can re-download them.
- Plan for extended offline periods. Downloaded books use a DRM license that periodically needs refreshing. If you'll be offline for a while (a long flight, a trip with limited connectivity), open the app on WiFi beforehand and let it sync. This ensures your downloads are ready to go.
- Download over WiFi when possible. The app should use the local file for playback, but if something goes wrong with the download, it may fall back to streaming.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I download podcasts for offline listening?
A: Yes. Podcasts can be downloaded the same way — open the episode and tap "Download."
Q: How much storage do downloads use?
A: It varies by book. Audiobooks tend to be larger than ebooks. Check your device's storage settings if you're running low on space.
