Invite your friends to join Scribd with your referral link, and earn free time in our library! In most cases, you’ll receive 30 days of credit after each friend referred makes their first subscription payment.
How do I find and use the Scribd referrals page?
There are two main ways to find your Scribd referrals page: using a web browser or our mobile app. We’ll look into each method and its abilities below!
On the Scribd website
- Sign in to your Scribd account
- Click on the account icon in the upper right corner of the page
- Select “Invite friends” or “Read for free” from the drop-down menu
From here, you can refer a friend to Scribd directly by entering their email address in the field provided. Want to refer multiple book enthusiasts at once? Just select “+ Add Another Friend” to include additional email addresses. Once you’re ready, click the “Send Invite” button, and your invitation to Scribd’s library will be delivered!
If you prefer social media, you can share an invitation to Scribd using the Facebook or Twitter options. You can also directly copy your unique referral link to paste and share with others.
On the Scribd app
- Sign in to your Scribd account
- Tap on “Account” at the bottom right corner of your device’s screen
- Select the option to “Invite Friends”
With the app, you can choose the “Email” option to refer others using your device’s email application or send your referral link in a text with the “Message” button. Additionally, you can select “More” to open up a variety of sharing options specific to the mobile device you’re using.
How do I earn free subscription time?
Your subscription will be credited with 30 days of free time after each friend referred through your referral link makes their first subscription payment to Scribd. This credit happens automatically for all active subscriptions registered using eligible payment methods.
Why haven’t I received my 30 days of free time?
You must have an active subscription using an eligible payment method in order to receive referral credits.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to apply referral credit to subscriptions purchased via Google Play or iTunes. However, your friends will still receive a free trial for using your referral link!
If your subscription is canceled, paused, or if we were unable to successfully collect payment to renew your subscription, any free time earned will appear as pending and won’t be applied until your subscription is active.
You can always track your invites via your referrals page (or the “Joined” page of the Scribd app) to see whether your free time has already been applied to your subscription, or if your credit is pending.
Still need help?
If you need assistance with reviewing your referral history, contact Scribd Support and include the following information in your message:
