We logged out your other devices to protect your account after your first login with Google, Apple, or Facebook. Nothing in your account changed, but your old password no longer works for email login.

Here's how to get back into your Scribd, Slideshare, or Everand account.

How to log back into your account

You can keep logging in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, or reset your password for email login. Resetting won't disconnect your social account, so you can use whichever login you prefer going forward.

Reset your password

  1. Go to the Scribd website for Scribd or Slideshare, or the Everand website.
  2. Select Reset password.
  3. Follow the link we email you to set a new password.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Why did I get logged out of my account?

A: We log you out to protect your account. Confirming your email address is how we know an account belongs to you, and some older accounts were created with a password but never confirmed one. Logging in with Google, Apple, or Facebook takes care of that confirmation, so we clear the old password at the same time. Your account is left more secure with login methods we know are yours.

Q: Which devices get logged out?

A: All of your devices are logged out except the one you used to log in with Google, Apple, or Facebook. That one remains logged in, so you always have a way into your account.

Q: I didn't get the password reset email.

A: Check your spam or junk folder first. The password reset email usually arrives within a few minutes, though it can occasionally take up to three hours. Still nothing? See Account recovery.

Q: Did I lose anything when I was logged out?

A: No, nothing is lost. Being logged out doesn't affect anything beyond your password. Your subscription, everything you've saved, and your history are all untouched.

Q: Will I be logged out of my account unexpectedly again?

A: Only if you change your email address. If you change your email and then log in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, you'll be logged out of your other devices again. Otherwise this was a one-time thing.
