Discovering Coming Soon titles on Everand
We're rolling out Coming Soon, a discovery feature on Everand that surfaces upcoming titles up to two weeks before they're available to read. Instead of waiting for a new release to be published, you can find anticipated titles in advance, so you have an unlock ready and time set aside the moment they go live.
How Coming Soon works
Coming Soon titles display a badge on the book's cover image. This badge is visible until a title's publication date and is removed once the title is published and available to read.
Note: Coming Soon is currently available for titles from select publishers only. See the Publisher availability section below for details.
What the Coming Soon badge means
When you see the Coming Soon badge on a title:
- The title has not been published yet and is not available to read.
- The publication date is within the next two weeks.
- You can save the title so you can return to it when it goes live.
Important: “Coming Soon” titles cannot be unlocked or previewed before their publication date. Once the title is published, you can return to unlock it and start reading.
Publisher availability
At launch, Coming Soon is available for titles from the following publishers:
- Penguin Random House (PRH)
- Hachette Book Group
- HarperCollins
- Simon & Schuster (S&S)
- Macmillan Publishers
Titles from publishers outside this list will not display the Coming Soon badge, even if they have an upcoming publication date. Any expansion to additional publishers will be announced separately.
The Coming Soon badge disappeared from a title I was tracking.
If the badge is no longer visible, the title has most likely been published and is now available to read. Visit the book's page to access it with your unlock.
Why don’t I see the title I’m expecting?
There are a couple of things to check:
- Make sure the title is from one of the five supported publishers listed above.
- Verify that the publication date falls within the two-week eligibility window.
If a title falls outside of these criteria, the title will not appear.
FAQ that need to be updated and the changes are highlighted :
I can't find the book I'm looking for
There are a few reasons a book might not show up when you search for it.
It may have left the catalog temporarily. Everand's library is built on agreements with publishers, and occasionally a book becomes temporarily unavailable. If you were reading it, you should have received an email notification, and the book may have shown an "Expiring" banner before it was removed. Books that leave often come back. Save it to your library so you'll be ready when it does.
It may not be available in your region. Due to licensing agreements, some books aren't available in every country. If a book shows up in search but isn't accessible, regional restrictions are the most likely reason.
It may require an unlock. If you're on a Standard, Plus, or Deluxe plan and the book is in the catalog but showing a lock icon, it requires an unlock to access. See "How unlocks work on Everand" for details.
It may not be published, yet some upcoming titles appear in search before they've been published, marked with a Coming Soon badge, but others will not be searchable until they're published. If you see a book you're interested in with this badge, save it to your library so you can easily return to unlock it once it goes live.
It may not be in Everand's catalog, which is extensive but doesn't include every book. Whether a title is in our library depends on a few things. Including publisher and distributor agreements, or exclusivity with another platform.
Search tips
- Search by exact book or author name for best results.
- Check spelling, partial matches may not surface the right result.
- Use the "Categories" tab to browse by genre if you're looking for something specific but can't recall the exact book.
- Watch for non-English editions. Popular books often appear in multiple languages in search results. Before unlocking, check the book details to confirm it's the language you want.
Frequently asked questions
Q: A book I was reading disappeared. Can I get it back?
A: If a book is left in the catalog, it's due to a publisher agreement, and we can't restore it individually. Save it to your library — if it returns, you'll have easy access. If you'd already unlocked it, the unlock will still apply when the book comes back. You can also reach out to us, and we'll give you another unlock to use.
Q: Will Everand add a specific book if I request it? A: We're always expanding our library, but we can't guarantee specific books. Availability depends on our agreements with publishers and distributors.
Q: I can see a book in search, but can't unlock or read it. Why?
A: There are a couple of common reasons. The book may have regional restrictions that prevent access in your area. It may also be Coming Soon. These appear in search before their publication date, but can't be unlocked until they're live. Look for the Coming Soon badge on the cover. If neither of those applies, reach out, and we'll take a look.
Can't figure out what happened to a specific book? Start a conversation with our virtual assistant, and we'll look into it.
Saving books to your library
When you find something you want to read or listen to, save it. Your saved list keeps everything in one place and syncs across all your devices.
How to save a book in the app: Tap the "Save" button on any book's About page. You'll see a ribbon icon appear, confirming it's saved. On the web: Click the "Save" button on the book's page, or look for the ribbon icon. Saved books appear in your Saved tab in the app, or behind the "Saved" button on the web.
Saving Coming Soon titles. You can also save titles that haven't been published yet. If a book displays a Coming Soon badge, it means it's not available to read yet but will be released soon. Saving it lets you return easily once it goes live — so you'll have an unlock ready and time set aside the moment it's available.
Organizing with lists. Beyond your main saved list, you can create custom lists to organize books however you like — by genre, mood, project, or whatever works for you. Access your lists from the "All Lists" option in your Saved tab.
Filtering your saved list. Use the filters at the top of your saved list to narrow what you see:
- Downloaded — shows only books stored on your device for offline access
- Formats — filter by ebook, audiobook, or podcast
- Hide finished — shows only books you haven't completed
- Availability — filter by books that require an unlock vs. those available anytime
Removing a book In the app: Tap the filled-in ribbon icon under the book, or open the book and select "Remove from Saved" from the three-dot menu. To remove multiple books at once, tap "Edit" (iOS) or the pencil icon (Android) in your Saved tab. On the web: Click the three dots next to the book in your saved list and select "Remove."
Frequently asked questions
Q: If I remove a book from my saved list, do I lose my progress? A: No. Removing a book from your saved list doesn't erase your reading or listening progress. You can find it again through search or your reading history.
Q: Is my saved list private? A: Yes. Your saved list is visible only to you.
Q: I saved a Coming Soon title - how will I know when it's available? A: Once the title is published, the Coming Soon badge will disappear from the book's cover. If you’ve opted into notifications, you will also receive a push notification on the day it’s published. Visit the book's page, and you'll be able to unlock it and start reading.
