Cancel your Everand subscription
To cancel, sign in to your account on the Everand website and follow these steps:
- Click your profile icon in the upper right corner.
- Select "Your account."
- In the Subscription section, select "Cancel" next to Cancel subscription.
- On the Cancel or change subscription page, select "Cancel subscription."
- Follow the prompts to complete cancellation.
You'll get an email confirming your cancellation went through.
Step 3. Cancel sits at the bottom of the Subscription section, below Pause subscription.
Prefer to pause your subscription?
Pausing stops your billing and leaves everything as it is: your unlocked books, your unused unlocks, and your place in whatever book you're in the middle of.

Subscribed through the App Store?
If you signed up through Apple, you'll need to cancel through your Apple account — canceling on the Everand website won't stop those charges. Here's how:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top, then "Subscriptions."
- Find your Everand or Scribd subscription (it may appear as either).
- Tap "Cancel Subscription."

Subscribed through Google Play?
Same idea — cancel directly through Google Play:
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon, then "Payments & subscriptions," then "Subscriptions."
- Find your Everand or Scribd subscription.
- Tap "Cancel subscription."

What happens after you cancel
The time you've already paid for is yours. You'll keep full access to Everand until your current billing period ends. After that:
- You won't be charged again unless you choose to resubscribe.
- Your reading history and saved lists stay intact.
- Any unlocks you haven't used expire with your subscription. Worth spending them before your last day.
- Books you unlocked will be locked. Resubscribe with the same email and they open right back up, no new unlocks needed.
- Your free account remains active.
Free trials are the exception. Access ends the moment you cancel, so finish the chapter you're on first.
On a Legacy plan?
If you subscribed to Everand before the current (Standard, Plus, Deluxe) plans launched, you may be on a Legacy plan.
Canceling means your Legacy plan is gone for good. You won't be able to get it back, and you'll lose bundled access to Scribd and Slideshare. Pausing Everand preserves everything if you just need a break.
Legacy plans:
- Don't use unlocks.
- Have a smaller book catalog. They don't include the expanded bestseller and new release catalog.
- Manage book access through usage-based limits rather than a monthly allocation.

We'd love that. When you're ready to resubscribe:
- Sign in to your account on the Everand website.
- Go to Your account.
- Select "Restart Subscription" and choose your plan.
If you resubscribe with the same email, the books you previously unlocked will be accessible again. You won't need to use new unlocks on them. Your unlock count resets with your new billing cycle.

Q: I canceled but I still have access. Am I going to get charged again?
A: Nope. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again unless you choose to resubscribe.
Q: I canceled and want to come back. Do I lose everything?
A: Your saved books and reading history are still here. If you resubscribe with the same email, the books you previously unlocked will be accessible again. Your unlock count resets with your new billing cycle.
Q: Can I get a refund for my last charge?
A: Canceling doesn't reverse a payment that already went through. See How refunds work on Everand for that.
Q: I canceled through the Everand website, but I'm still being charged. Why?
A: The charge is probably coming from Apple or Google rather than from us. Check your Apple or Google account for an Everand or Scribd subscription and cancel it there.
