1. Sponsor
The Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Scribd, Inc., located at 460 Bryant Street #300, San Francisco, CA 94107-2594 USA (“Sponsor”). The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
2. Eligibility
The Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States, who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, contractors, officers, and directors of Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members or those living in the same household are not eligible.
3. Contest Period
The Contest begins on January 5, 2026 at 8:00am PST and ends on January 31, 2026 at 11:59pm PST (“Contest Period”).
4. How to Enter
To receive an entry, an eligible participant must share content on Instagram that reflects what they are currently reading, using Instagram’s native Share feature. The participant must tag @everand_us in the applicable post or story in order for the entry to be valid. Participants may submit entries throughout the month of January, and there is no limit on the number of entries an individual may submit.
5. Submission Guidelines
Entries must:
- Be the entrant’s own original work;
- Not infringe on any third party rights;
- Not contain unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate content;
- Be posted to Instagram and tagged @everand_us;
- Be timestamped by Instagram between January 5, 2026 and January 31, 2026.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these guidelines.
6. Judging Criteria
On or about February 2, 2026, the Sponsor will randomly select one winner from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Prizes
The winner will receive:
- 1 year of Everand - Standard Subscription (ARV: $143.88)
- An Everand Merch bundle: Tote & Hat (ARV: $30)
Total Approximate Retail Value of all prizes: $179.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
8. Winner Notification
Potential winners will be notified via Instagram Direct Message within 5 business days after judging is completed. To claim the prize, the winner may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within 5 days. Failure to respond or comply may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
9. Intellectual Property Rights
Entrants retain ownership of their entries, but by entering, grant Sponsor a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute the entry for promotional or marketing purposes without compensation.
10. General Conditions
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or other factors impair the integrity or functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
11. Release and Limitations of Liability
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective employees and agents from any liability, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of any prize.
12. Privacy
Personal data submitted in connection with this Contest is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy (https://scribd.com/privacy).
13. Governing Law
The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
14. Winner List
To obtain the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Scribd Contest – Winner Request, Scribd, Inc., 460 Bryant Street #300, San Francisco, CA 94107-2594 USA by 30 days after end of contest.
