If you’re on the hunt for knowledge, SlideShare has the documents, presentations, and infographics for you! Get familiar with our search feature and Explore page to see all we have to offer.

Searching

Already know exactly what you’re looking for? Our search feature will be your first stop! The search bar can be found at the top of the SlideShare website.

How to search

Simply type a keyword, the name of the content you want to view surrounded by quotations, or a creator’s username into the search bar and click enter. You’ll be presented with a list of results matching your query that you can peruse to your heart’s content.

There may be a delay in seeing your own SlideShare uploads within the site's search results. When files are uploaded to SlideShare publicly, it takes a few hours before they are indexed

Filtering your search results

Using the SlideShare website, you can filter your search results even further to get the best match for your query. Search filters are located at the top right corner of the search results page, and provide you with the ability to sort the content displayed by:

  • Upload date
  • File Type
  • Language

To apply a filter, click on the filter type and make your selection. You’ll then see the search results change to match your custom parameters.

Exploring

If you’re not searching for specifics and are instead interested in browsing SlideShare for fun, be sure to check out our Explore page!

The “Explore” tab can be found in the upper-left corner of any page on the SlideShare website. You can select from the following:

  • Most Popular
  • Editors Picks
  • Any of the listed categories

Using the “more filters” drop-down menu at the top of the page, you can filter each section by content type (presentation, document, etc.), language, or the time period content was uploaded within

If you’re looking through a particular category, selecting “Featured” or “Popular” (located directly above “more filters”) will show you the most popular or featured content within the category alone. Clicking on a different category within the “Category” filter will take you to the selected category’s page.

Do you have additional questions about searching and exploring that weren’t covered above? That’s okay – just contact our SlideShare Support team! We’re always happy to help.
