Upload Content to SlideShare from Desktop

To upload presentations to SlideShare:

  1. Log in to SlideShare.
  2. Click Upload in the upper right corner of the homepage.
  3. Click Select files to upload.
  4. Select the files you wish to upload.
  5. Add Title, Description, Category, and Tags.
  6. Set a Privacy setting.
  7. Click Publish.

Uploading content from Cloud Storage

To upload content from your Cloud Storage account:

  1. Log in to SlideShare.
  2. Click Upload on the upper right of the homepage.
  3. Click on upload files from the cloud.
  4. Click on your file hosting provider.
    • You may be prompted to log in.
  5. Once logged in, you'll see your files hosted on your service provider.
  6. Use this window to select the file you want to upload.
  7. Click Upload.


  • While SlideShare doesn't support direct uploading of JPEG, GIF, and other images files, you can always place images in a presentation, document, or PDF and upload the file to SlideShare.
  • Video uploads aren’t supported on Slideshare.net.
  • All infographics must be uploaded as PDFs. If your infographic is in another format (such as a JPEG), you'll need to convert the file into a PDF before you upload it.
  • Infographics will be categorized on SlideShare by an aspect ratio with a height that's more than twice the width. If it doesn't have this aspect ratio, it might be shown as a document or presentation.
  • You cannot upload presentations, documents, videos, or infographics onto SlideShare from your mobile device.
  • The maximum upload file size limit is 300 MB. Learn more about supported formats and size limits for SlideShare uploads.
