Using either the SlideShare website or mobile app, you can download and save content wherever you might be! We’ll also keep track of any content you’ve downloaded or saved so you can easily view it later.

We’ll go over each method below, but first let’s review general information about downloading content:

  • If the “Download Now” option isn’t available, the author of the content has either disabled downloading or you’ve reached your daily limit for downloading.
  • The daily download limit for content is 100 files per 24 hours. For each download, 24 hours must pass before it is removed from your total count.
  • Content can only be downloaded in PDF format.

On the SlideShare website

To download content:

  1. Sign in to SlideShare
  2. Open the content you want to download
  3. Click the “Download Now” button in the lower right side of the content viewer
  4. Customize the file name and location for your download
  5. Click on “Save”

To view a list of the content you’ve downloaded:

  1. Sign in to SlideShare
  2. Click on your user icon in the upper right corner
  3. Select your name from the drop-down menu
  4. Click on “My Downloads” in the bottom-right of the page
  5. Content you’ve downloaded from SlideShare will be listed on the screen

If you've downloaded content using the SlideShare website on a computer, the content will appear on your computer's local storage only. To access content you downloaded from the website on the mobile app, you'll need to “Save” the content through the app first.

On the SlideShare app

To “Save” content to the app:

  1. Sign in to SlideShare
  2. Tap the “Save” cloud icon under the content’s preview
  3. The “Save” icon will change to “Saved”
  4. A red notification will appear on the “You” tab on the bottom right of your device’s screen

To view a list of the content you’ve “Saved”:

  1. Tap the “You” tab on the bottom right of your device’s screen
  2. Select “Saved” from the navigation on the top left of your screen
  3. The content you’ve previously “Saved” in the app will appear

Content “Saved” through the app is only accessible through the SlideShare mobile app. If you sign in to the app on a different mobile device, content you’ve “Saved” through the app will automatically populate on the “Saved” tab within the SlideShare app on the new device.
