Scribd is opening up a fresh opportunity for writers to produce long-form fiction and non-fiction for an audience of readers. —Forbes
What are Scribd Originals?
The Scribd Originals program launched in April 2019 as a way for authors to reach new readers, build their profiles, and share stories in new and interesting ways. These pieces are uniquely suited for a subscription reading service (that’s us!): they’re ambitious fiction and non-fiction works that thrive in the space between magazines and books. Some Originals are experimental pieces from authors between books and may be expanded on down the road.
Who writes Scribd Originals?
Scribd Originals are wholly original works written by esteemed authors in partnership with Scribd. They’re published on Scribd and are accessible just like any other title in the subscription — the only difference is they’re exclusively available on Scribd!
What formats are available?
Whether you prefer an audiobook or an ebook, Scribd Originals have you covered! Scribd Original titles will always have an ebook and audiobook version available in our library.
What languages are available?
Scribd Originals are currently available in English only, though we are currently working on translating these works into other languages.
