Why are some of my books “Available Soon”?

When books or audiobooks become temporarily unavailable on Scribd, you'll see them listed in the "Available Soon" section along with a date of exactly when they will become fully available to you. We understand this can be frustrating, especially if this happens with an old favorite or that exciting new release you were looking forward to diving into next.

Our catalogs generally start to rotate the more you read, and the availability of the books and audiobooks in our library is based on a variety of factors, some of which include:

  • Conditions regarding the deals we have with our publishing partners
  • General consumption level
  • Cost
  • Popularity

While some books and audiobooks may not be fully available right away, we guarantee that we’ll never say, “That’s it! No more for you!” for our entire content library.

If you’re looking forward to certain titles becoming fully available again, you still have unlimited access to our library of available content. Of course, this may change the schedule in which you read the exact books you’re after. Our searching and browsing experience is specifically designed to help you find titles that are readily and fully available for you to dive into!

At Scribd, we want to be a place that book lovers of all types can call their personal, on-the-go library. We know that we're not the only reading subscription around, and it is our sincere hope that we'll always have something new and exciting for you to read. We’re constantly adding new content to our library, and are always happy to hear from our community of readers.
