An update on promotions, referrals, and gift subscriptions

At this time, a few features are being paused or limited: promotional discounts, referral rewards, and gift subscriptions. Read on to learn more.

Promotional discounts

We're pausing new promotions, but eligible users with active codes will still be able to redeem them. Please visit the promo redemption page to confirm if your code remains active.


Although new referrals are being paused, eligible users who have already accrued subscription time through successful referrals will still be able to access their credited subscription rewards. Please note that you must have an active subscription on your account in order to redeem any referral credits. Unfortunately, we’re unable to apply referral credit to your account if your subscription was purchased via Google Play or the App Store, due to their respective store policies.

Gift subscriptions

We're actively reviewing our gift subscription offerings and are in the process of launching an updated program soon. In the meantime, purchasing a gift subscription is currently unavailable.

What if I have a gift subscription to redeem?

We're so excited you'll be enjoying the gift of reading! Gift subscriptions that were previously purchased can still be redeemed. Simply follow the instructions on our gift redemption page, and let us know if you have any questions.
