How to share documents from Scribd

  • Updated

With over 200 million documents in our library, learning on Scribd is more than just reading—it’s about sharing ideas that matter. Whether it’s a historical analysis, a scientific breakthrough, or a niche cultural deep dive, sharing what you discover in our library with your network or community makes knowledge more accessible.

From the Scribd app

Found something worth sharing? Pass it along, directly from the Scribd app:

  1. Open the document.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select ‘Share’ and choose from the available options based on your installed apps.

From the Scribd website

Knowledge connects people. Share a document with your LinkedIn network, post it on Facebook, or start a conversation on X. When you browse our library on the Scribd website, you’ll find sharing options on the document’s “About” page, just below its title.

From the reading view

  1. If you're reading a document and want to share it, tap the three vertical dots in the upper-right corner.
  2. Select ‘Share’ and choose how to distribute it—via direct link, social media, or another platform.

Prefer a direct approach? Copy the document’s URL straight from your browser:

  1. Open the document on the Scribd website.

  3. Paste it into an email, a blog, or anywhere else you share content.
