"How will the books in my library be affected by Monthly Reads?"
Your Library as you know it hasn't changed, and just to be clear we're talking about all those favorite books you've been adding to your to-do list of things to read! We want this transition to be as seamless as possible for folks, which is why you should still have access to most titles in your library that you've already read or are reading. If you have books stored to your device or in your library that you've never read before, then you will be asked to use a Monthly Read or Audiobook Read to get full access to it. In cases of unread / unused content that was stored to your device you will also need to re-download it.
The short story for books is that: books you've finished will remain available to you, and books you've gotten more than halfway through should also remain accessible moving forward.
It gets a little tricky after that though. There's a lot going on behind the scenes to decide if you'll have access to a title or not - primarily revolving around how far into the book you've read. As you may have read elsewhere in our other FAQs, we pay per read for every title. Because this threshold is so different from book to book, unfortunately we don't have a more concrete guideline to offer beyond our guideline of "half way through".
We would hate to get in between anyone and the end of a good book, so if you find for any reason you weren't able to finish a title in time or you're having trouble accessing certain titles just give our support team a shout and we'll be happy to help!
