One of the best features available on Scribd is that when you come across a book you know you're interested in reading, but don't have the time to start right away, you can save it for later in your own personal library! You can also organize your Saved titles in Lists: how you categorize them is all up to you. Scribd is a library tailor-made for your needs—you're the one that gets to create what you feel is the ideal library for yourself! You can save titles to read for later, track the books you're currently reading, and see all the books you've already finished reading; depending on how you want to save and organize your Lists!
Anytime you want to see what's in your Saved page or edit it, just tap the 'Saved' icon found in the navigation menu at the bottom of the app.
There are a few key features on your Saved page:
- Titles — The cumulation of all the content you've saved, and the default displayed when you access your Saved titles
- Lists — All of the Lists you've created and added titles to
- Notebook — An archive of any bookmarks, notes or highlights you've added to content
- History — A list of your most recently read titles
- 'Downloaded' toggle — This toggle will show you a list of only the titles that you've downloaded to your device to enjoy while not connected to an internet or cellular connection
Everything in your Saved titles page will be listed based on the chronological order they were added or last accessed and is the default filter: 'All Types'. Tap on Filter on the left-hand side of the screen to sort by content type and to toggle whether you'd like to hide the books you've marked as finished:
Don't have anything saved? Start adding books to your Saved! If you've found a book you're interested in, here's how to save it for later:
When you first select a book's cover it'll expand and you'll be able to see the synopsis, reviews of it, and so on. If you don't want to start reading it right away, you can click the Save option and that'll save the book to your Saved titles page! If you already know it's a book you want to save for later without opening the synopsis page, just tap on the little bookmark icon under the book's title as you browse and it'll be added to your Saved!
If you want to remove a title from your Saved, you can do so directly from the list. Just tap the bookmark icon under the "Read" or "Listen" button for that title, and confirm that you'd like to remove it in the prompt that appears. Otherwise, you can remove multiple titles at once. While viewing your Saved titles, tap Edit in the upper right-hand corner. Select all the books you wish removed and then tap Remove in the menu that appears towards the bottom. Once you select that, you'll no longer see them in your Saved. (On Android, Edit will be a small pencil icon on the top right. Tap on the pencil, select the titles you'd like to remove, and then tap on the small trash can icon in the top right to remove these from your Saved.)
