Why is the book I'm reading becoming unavailable?

Scribd's library is made up of hundreds of thousands of books shared with the permission of our publishing partners. Due to these publisher agreements, occasionally some titles may be unavailable temporarily or removed from our service. We do our best to keep content available consistently - we know it can be incredibly frustrating for a book to disappear when you're in the middle of it and getting to the good bits!

Much like other subscription services, there will be a slight ebb and flow of content as we work to grow our library. But with a vast catalog of high-quality books and audiobooks, we aim for our subscribers to always have plenty of interesting titles to read.

If you've started the book, we'll try to send an email as early as possible to notify you the book is going to be removed. When you open the book on Scribd, we’ll also remind you the title will be removed from our library with an “Expiring” banner. Hopefully these notifications will give you enough time to finish the book, and we truly apologize for any trouble this causes.

We sincerely hope you won't ever encounter this issue, but we will do our very best to give you a warning should we need to remove a book you're enjoying on Scribd. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact Scribd support for assistance.
