Everything you need to know about accepted payment methods for Scribd, Everand, and SlideShare.

What payment methods can I use?

We accept:

  • Credit or debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express
  • PayPal, in most countries
  • Apple Pay, on iOS Safari
  • Google Pay, on Chrome
  • Venmo, only in the US, when you start a new subscription
  • The App Store or Google Play, if you subscribe in those apps

Good to know

  • Venmo is only offered at signup, so you can't switch to it later
  • We don't accept prepaid or non-reloadable cards

What will the charge look like on my statement?

Your subscription is billed by Scribd, Inc. That's the billing name you’ll find on your bank or card statement.

To see what you've been charged and when, check your invoices and payment history. If a charge doesn't match a subscription you know about, here's how to track it down.

Can I add a backup payment method?

Yes, you can store more than one payment method on your account page. You can also change or remove which one we charge at any time. A backup card keeps your subscription running if your preferred method fails on renewal day.

If you have any questions or concerns when completing a purchase with Scribd or SlideShare, start a conversation with our virtual assistant.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes, your payment details are encrypted whenever you enter or update them. We know your information is valuable and requires utmost care, and we do not store card details on our own servers.

Your payment information is held by the services that process our payments: Venmo, PayPal, Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, or EBANX. Subscriptions processed through Google Play or the App Store are managed by their respective companies.
