Report Copyright Infringements and Abuse HERE

Content on Scribd.com and SlideShare.net (collectively, “Scribd”) is uploaded directly by our members and is not subject to pre-approval by Scribd. We take intellectual property rights seriously and, as a service provider, comply fully with the applicable provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998. When we receive a valid DMCA notification we promptly remove infringing content, and we enforce a “three-strikes” policy for repeat offenders, which may result in account termination.

As Scribd is based in the United States, we are only able to accept formal DMCA-compliant notifications as proof of copyright infringement, even if your country follows different legal standards. Notifications that do not meet the DMCA’s specific requirements or lack sufficient information cannot be processed.

Please read these important guidelines:

  • Only the copyright owner (or a person or entity authorized to act on a copyright owner’s behalf) may use this form to report infringements. If you suspect that another person’s work has been posted without permission, we encourage you to contact the author or publisher directly. Many publishers provide dedicated forms or email addresses on their websites for reporting potential copyright concerns.

  • Ensure that the reported content is not posted by your publisher, agency, or another third party operating under a license agreement. If you are the author of content posted by your publisher, your removal request may be denied.

  • Your removal request must include direct links to the items covered by your claim. Scribd cannot process notifications that reference search results or general listings. Incomplete notifications will be returned for correction and resubmission. You may include as many links as necessary in a single notification.

  • Your information will not be used for any other purpose other than processing your DMCA notification.

  • Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability. Misuse of the DMCA form may result in termination of your Scribd account and possible legal action.
