Improving your recommendations

Everand's recommendations get better the more you interact with them. Saving books, marking books as finished, and rating what you've read all help — but you can also give direct feedback on any suggested book to tune things faster.

This feature is only available in the Everand app.

How to give feedback on a recommendation

Recommendations appear in carousels on your home page and on content-type pages. To give feedback on one:

  1. Long-press the cover, holding your finger down for a moment longer than you would to open it.
  2. A menu appears with three options.
  3. Tap the one that applies.

What the options do

Suggest more like this. The recommendation landed. You want to see more like it.

Don't show again. This one missed. You won't see it again.

Mark as finished. You've already read it elsewhere. We'll stop suggesting it and factor it into your taste profile.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Does rating a book also affect my recommendations?

A: Yes. Ratings, saves, and finished books all feed into your recommendations alongside direct feedback. Any signal helps.

Q: Can I give feedback on the web?

A: Not yet. Feedback on recommended titles is only available in the Everand app right now.
