Everand works with Bluetooth headphones, car systems, and wearables. Here's how to get set up.

Bluetooth headphones or speakers

Pair your headphones or speaker with your device the way you normally would. Open the Everand app and start playing an audiobook or podcast — audio will route to the connected Bluetooth device automatically.

If audio isn't coming through, check that Everand is selected as the audio source in your device's Bluetooth settings.

Apple CarPlay

  1. Connect your iPhone to your CarPlay-compatible car.
  2. Add Everand to your CarPlay dashboard in your iPhone's Settings > General > CarPlay.
  3. Open Everand through the CarPlay interface.

You'll see your saved audiobooks and podcasts. Content you've downloaded for offline listening shows a solid cloud icon — useful if you're driving through an area with spotty reception.

You need to be signed in to Everand on your iPhone for CarPlay to work.

Android Auto

Everand is compatible with Android Auto. Connect your phone and select Everand from the app list. Playback controls (play, pause, skip) are available on the Android Auto interface.

If playback controls aren't responding, make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

Apple Watch

The Everand app for Apple Watch lets you stream audio to Bluetooth headphones or speakers connected to your watch. You'll need to sign in via the Everand app on your iPhone first — the Watch app pulls your login credentials from there.

You can play books from your saved list, but managing your library (adding or removing books) still needs to happen in the iPhone app or on the web.

Requirements: Apple Watch with watchOS support for Everand, paired with an iPhone running the Everand app.

Good to know

  • Download books before you drive. Streaming over a spotty connection is the most common cause of CarPlay audio interruptions.
  • If CarPlay or Android Auto loses internet, playback pauses until the connection is re-established. Downloaded books aren't affected.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I control playback from my Apple Watch?

A: Yes, for audio streamed to Bluetooth devices connected to your Watch. Full library management still happens on your iPhone.

Q: Does Everand work with all Bluetooth devices?

A: Everand works with any standard Bluetooth audio device. If you're having trouble, make sure the device is paired and selected as the audio output.
