Start with these steps — they resolve most issues.
Step 1: Update the app
Open the Google Play Store, search for Everand, and tap "Update" if one is available. Running an outdated version is the most common cause of app issues.
The Everand app requires Android 7.1.1 or newer.
Step 2: Restart your device
Turn your device off and back on. This clears temporary memory and often resolves glitches.
Step 3: Clear the app cache
Go to your device's Settings > Apps > Everand > Storage, then tap "Clear Cache." This removes temporary data without affecting your account or downloads.
If clearing the cache doesn't help, you can also try "Clear Data" — but be aware this will sign you out and remove offline downloads.
Step 4: Delete and reinstall the app
If nothing else has worked:
- Uninstall the Everand app.
- Open the Google Play Store and search for "Everand."
- Tap "Install."
- Sign in with your account credentials.
⚠️ Uninstalling removes any content downloaded for offline use. Make sure those books are in your saved list so you can re-download them after reinstalling.
Frequently asked questions
Q: What version of Android do I need?
A: Android 7.1.1 or newer. If your device can't run that, you can access Everand through your web browser at everand.com.
Q: I'm using a Kindle Fire tablet. Do these steps apply?
A: Kindle Fire tablets work a bit differently since they don't use the Google Play Store. See "Reading on an eReader? Here's what to know" for Fire tablet-specific guidance.
